On 19-23 March 2023, Dr. Kazbulat Shogenov (the Founder and CEO of SHOGenergy company and Research Scientist (Petrophysicist and CCUS expert) at TalTech-Tallinn University of Technology, participated in meetings with Saudi Aramco (National Oil Company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), one of the largest suppliers of hydrocarbons in the world) and the Ministry of Mines of the KSA.
Dr. Shogenov was invited to the team of Satellite Exploration of Earth Resources Using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Phenomenon technology managed by Estbrand. Estbrand is leading the innovative, unique technology – the exploration of the subsoil (hydrocarbons, minerals, water, and any other resources) using the latest breakthrough, unprecedented technology – Remote geophysical exploration using aerospace photography and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance-NMR technology.
During two days, 19 and 20 March, Dr. Shogenov, together with other team members Julio Alfredo Botto, online support from Estonia (Mr. Mikhail Samoilov), Mr. Oleg Leonov from Argentina, as well as the technology developers, presented the technology to the council of leading specialists and managers of Saudi Aramco (in the headquarters of the company in Dammam) in areas of intelligence and innovative technologies.
On 23 March, the team was invited by the Ministry of Mineral Exploration of Saudi Arabia to the KSA Geological Survey. They made a presentation to senior officials of the Survey and Ministry:
- Dr. Abdulla Al Nabhan, The Senior Director of the Survey and Exploration Center
- Mr. Abdulrahman Bin Muhaya, Exploration Development Manager Mining Development at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources
- Mr. Waseem Al Dhaheri, Senior Geologist at the Saudi Geological Survey and an Accelerated Exploration Program Initiative team member
- Thamer Bakarman, Senior Director of Investors Services
These meetings were organized by our local business partner, the Arabian company Power Team Trading & Contracting Company, through one of its international directors, Mr. M. Mohanad Hamour, and its Chairman, Mr. Khulgan Al-Barry.
We had the opportunity to be received by important executives, decision-makers, and research and development teams of new technologies of both companies, which meant a real challenge for those who travelled: a very high bar that we were able to overcome.
Thanks to Saudi Aramco, the Ministry of Mineral Exploration of Saudi Arabia, and the KSA Geological Survey for receiving us and for starting a journey in search of collaboration opportunities based on our unique technology, a new and disruptive approach to prospecting and exploration of hydrocarbons, solid and liquid minerals, water, and geothermal sources.
