On 15 December 2023, TalTech Virumaa kolledž (in its new very innovative building in Kohtla-Järve) held an official refresher course “How to Save the Oil Shale Industry and Energy Sector in Estonia and Become a Carbon-neutral Country?”. The guest lecturers were leading specialists, main experts and pioneers of CCUS technology and geological energy storage in the Baltic region – Dr. Alla Shogenova and Dr. Kazbulat Shogenov, TalTech – Tallinna Tehnikaülikool researchers – TalTech Geoloogia Instituut, founders of the consulting company SHOGenergy.
