GHGT-17 Conference, Calgary, Canada, October 20-24, 2024
Dr. Alla Shogenova (director of research in SHOGenergy and senior researcher at TalTech University) participated in the biannual 17th Greenhouse Gas Control Technology Conference (GHGT-17), which focused on CO2 capture, utilization, and geological storage (CCUS) and took place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, from 20 to 24 October.
About 1500 researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and technology providers worldwide gathered to discuss the latest developments, future scenarios, technological innovations, and greenhouse gas mitigation strategies. More than 360 oral and 540 poster presentations within 71 technical sessions were made during four days after keynote presentations made every day by leading researchers, policymakers, and industry. Panel discussions, technical and business streams, and social events were additional surpluses of the GHGT-17 Conference.
Dr. Alla Shogenova made two e-poster presentations on Wednesday, 22nd October, including the results of the ongoing Horizon Europe CCUS ZEN and HERCCULES projects. Dr. Alla Shogenova and Dr. Kazbulat Shogenov (CEO of SHOGenergy) were the first authors of two presentations and co-authors in other four poster and oral presentations made in Calgary by their partners from three ongoing projects targeted on CCUS.
At the end of the talk, Alla distributed HERCCULES postcards to the e-poster presentation attendees.
The poster presentation includes results of the HERCCULES D8.1 Report available at Public – Deliverables – Herccules – Europe (https://www.herccules.eu/results-publications/deliverables/public.html)
Results presented at the GHGT-17 will be published soon in the SSRN articles.
