Annual Geological Conference in the TalTech – Aprillikonverents 2024

On April 5th we took part in the annual April conference in honor of Geologist’s Day, organized by the Department of Geology of Tallinn University of Technology – TalTech Geoloogia Instituut, which traditionally presents the latest technological trends and research of the department, and not only. The conference was opened by the director of the Department of Geology at TalTech, Olle Hints, and the rector of TalTech, Tiit Land.

More than 200 participants took part in this event, the red thread of which was the most important topic to date: Climate Change, as well as Climate Change & Circular Economy.

Dr. Alla Shogenova presented the latest research in the field of CO2 Capture, Use, and Geological Storage and prospects for the Baltic region.

A new area of our expertise, which Dr. Kazbulat Shogenov presented in the form of a poster at the conference, is a unique breakthrough technology for underground exploration and resource search (water, oil, gas, condensate, diamonds, metals, rare earth elements, and critical raw materials), geothermal energy mapping, and search for structures for energy storage and gases (methane, hydrogen, carbon dioxide), research in the field of safety of radioactive waste storage in basic rocks – granites.

This technology, which is within SHOGenergy company called SkyGeoExploreNOVA-NMR (SGEN-NMR), is based on satellite mapping of the earth’s surface and laboratory procedures for modeling the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) process.

Shogenergy offers SGEN-NMR as a new service, together with Estbrand and the technology developers, the Ukrainian scientists. SGEN-NMR is more cost-effective, faster, environmentally friendly, independent of permits and public opinion, and most importantly, the most accurate method of underground research to date (accuracy exceeds 90%).
